Post  sam the man on Thu Jun 18, 2009 9:58 am

Hi All

As you are all well aware, the track is being resurfaced and it is looking awesome already.

Here are some pics of the process so far.

The start.

First layer complete.

We gonna change the layout a bit, make it more technical. We going to have hairpin turning onto the start finish line.

Here are some more pics to feast your eyes on. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, can't wait till Sunday!!!!!

The start of the final coat.

Working it.

The last spot being done.

Picking up the excess.

All done and closing up the centre with some slurry.

From the surface we all know to our brand new racing surface, PERFECTION. No more cracks.

I can see the TT's traction rolling already.

Please remember, the track is closed until Sunday, so no practicing what so ever until then. We need to give this surface time to cure so that it will last for a long time.

Howzit. we jumped over the wall and did some testing on the new surface. I think it was still wet because it left the most amazing dark lines sliding out the corners. There was hardly any tyre wear but I think we took 1mm off the top of the surface. ray thoroughly enjoyed himself. cheers
