track surface

Post  ototw on Thu Jan 15, 2009 11:44 pm

I'm getting the idea we are taking short cuts,to do a jippo job,to surface the track which cost additional monies, who's in charge and what the heck is going on??
why not go by what was originaly been planned and studied via the internet.
we waist manpower to get the same end results.

I agree with you, but my understandind is that the people in know were doing some testing before we attemt the whole track and make a huge stuffup, once that happens theres no turning back. When we do attempt the to do the whole surface we must have several batches measured out correctly and we must use a cement mixture to keep the sand suspended in the latex. We must finish the batch completely before mixing the next batch or else we are going to be stuffing around with the recipe if theres leftovers in the drum.

So on the whole I agree with you, but before we do it properly we must get together and plan it properly so that everybody is on the same page and there are no surprise bright spark ideas that pop up during the process. There we can't take shortcuts. We also need to do it on a day when everybody is available, maybe cancel one raceday on do it on the sunday when everybody is free and would've been racing anyway.

The few patches we covered was to experiment and get the mixes right. A lot of work went into it and those who were there and helped will tell you so. Since we are not experts and dont have a expert helping us, trial and error is the only way. Please come up with solutions, negative criticism is not helpful at this stage.

just for you=

i love a heated debate so early in the morning Suspect
all i can say is maximum respekt for all the guys that put in the work to get the track where it is,
when we started out there was nothing there and now there is the beginnings of something that will be appreciated for years to come.

thanks guys king

All good things with time i recon, it is not an over night process and for it to be right and ready for everyone time has to be taken in order for it to be correct
