TTO1 SUPERSTOCK

Post  Philthecanon on Mon Mar 02, 2009 1:22 pm

I would like to know if anybody els would be intrested in starting a TT-01 superstock class at Diaz club .The cars will have tt01 chassis with tamiya stock speed controls ,tamiya superstock motors as a rule ,tyres and bodies can be left up to your descretion so you can run either foam or rubber ,and u can have any body of your choice tamiya ,east coast or blitz bodies.

would love some feed back let me know what u think Laughing

Hi! Welcome to the forum.

There was a proposal to run a TT-01 Mod class using a black can motor and foam tyres with tamiya gearing, which I am keen for and would like to run in for next season. Im not sure whether the standard tamiya speed controller can handle a superstock motor in race conditions

I AM SURE IT CAN HANDLE IT - I HAVE RUN RZ AND TZ MOTORS ON THE STANDARD CONTROLLER.

dont see a problem with a mod 27 turn.

i am sure if you hook up a good fan or something to the sytem it will last 5min sprints?
i am not sure but i dont see it bieng a problem, i had my TT-01 running for 5 batteries with my 23turn RZ and it only shut down once. but the ambient air temp was prity high so could have been multiple factors at play...

think it would be cool - only one way to find out though, set up a car and take it for a spin. alien

i think running with either the tz or rz motor should be perfect and cost effective

i think we must pm Sam about the class. him and Shameless did some impressive testing over December and they used sport tuned motors. That way you dont run the risk of setting speedos on fire. The supersstock will be much faster but maybe above the tt01's comfortable capabilities. You dont want the class to cost you big bucks, instead you want bang for your buck and good reliability

ya it will be a lot faster with the superstocks... big jump in power and torque, maybe too much so, remembered from when I had the motor in my car.
