Caster racing EX-1

Post  slidewayz on Fri Sep 11, 2009 3:26 pm

I just got me a brushless 1/8th beast of a buggy. I will send pics to dt to post sometime. Woohoo! I will keep you posted as to how it runs. Would like to run it on a rugby field first and then maybe one day start practicing jumps etc. Feel like a kid again, oh wait, I am a huge kid:-) no/low maintenance, no stalling, no 4 stroking, no noise, so no problem with neighbours. I am going to be in k@k when the wife finds out :-( wahahaha!

Tested it today on batteries that had not been charged for a week. Lasted about 8 min or so, which is fine, as a heat would be about 5min if you raced. It is vicious if you use full throttle, but is quite easily controllable if you are gentle on the throttle, like most powerful rc machines. The motor was quite warm, but not very hot, after 5min. I took some pics of Brandon riding and e mailed to dt, Ray and Fusion, so hope one of them posts the pics.

Thanks guys, with regard to pics, you have to anticipate where you think it will be when you take the shot, or you end up either to early or too late and no pic on the screen. It took enough practice shots before we got those.

Will it fit the chassis as this one takes 2 x 7.4v lipos or 2 x nimh stick packs. It can probably take something higher, but then weight will be uneven. What price anyway?

ya, your buggy is made for two 2 cell packs, vuka did a conversion so he has space for a 5cell, but if you could put it in it would be insane
