Mini class for next raceday
Okay i should be receiving my Rover Mini M-03 2moro or the next day.
I would like to see a feeler race at the next raceday. who is keen??
Regs:
M-02, M-03, M-04, M-05 chassis (FWD OR RWD, no 4WD)
Any Body
Rubber tyres
Black can
1800 battery (still to be decided as it needs to be tested with a black can, which il be doing this weekend hopefully)
not sure about gearing?? il check the tamiya mini cup rules
Tamiya Hop-ups
Weight limit 1200g ready to run without transponder

I was reading the Tamiya Mini rules and its says the RWD m-chassis my also be used like the M-04L... shouldnt they be quicker being RWD??

Extract from Tamiya MINI cup rules
10.3 General Rules
10.3.1 Cars eligible to race are the M02, M03 and M04 series chassis.
10.3.2 Only spare parts and Hop-Up option parts for these chassis types currently available in South Africa are allowed, and must be used as originally intended.
10.3.3 Only standard stick type ni-cad battery packs up to 2400mah are allowed. (Matched packs are not allowed) Battery wires can be modified at the bottom of the connector to accept other types of speed controller connectors. Wire length must exceed 3cm.
10.3.4 Any electronic speed control is permitted.
10.3.5 Only a 2-slot Johnson 540 motor, a 53068 Sport Tuned motor or a 53983 Lightly Tuned motor are allowed. Any attempt to modify or to influence the ability of the motor is not allowed.
10.3.6 Car does not have to retain the original wheel drive concept. Drivers can choose either FWD or RWD configurations regardless of car body. 4wd or twin motor configuration will not be allowed.
10.3.7 Speed Tuned Gear – 16, 18 and 20T pinion are allowed for the M03 chassis. Up to 19T pinion is allowed for the M04 chassis, but in the case of a 26D tyre being used the pinion size is limited to a 17T.
10.3.8 Minimum weight of the car ready to run is to be 1,200g, without a transponder.
10.3.9 Clearance under main chassis to exceed 3mm before the race.
10.3.10 Only the standard differential item 53070, and the ball differential item 53267, can be used, and must be built as per the instructions using Tamiya lubricants only
10.3.11 The tyre size in the front and rear must be the same. The usable tyres are as follows;
M02, M03, M03L and M04M:
• 50683 M-Chassis 60D Radial Tyres
• 50684 M-Chassis 60D M-Grip Tyres
• 53254 M-Chassis 60D Super Grip Radial Tyres
• 53340 M-Chassis 60D Re-Inforced Tyres Type A
M04L:
• 50419 Celica Racing Radial Tyres
• 50454 Racing Slick Tyres
• 50810 Racing Semi-Slick Tyres
• 53214 Super Grip Radial Tyres
• 53227 M2 Radial Tyres
