DRCCC Race Report - Race Day 11 Season 1 - Final Points Event
There was promise of a record entry for our final event via the new cellphone entry system, but again the weather hampered attendance figures. We none the less had a brilliant turnout with 35 racers entering 49 cars for a last attemp bid at the final available points up for grabs. However the weather came into play and only 1 full round of qualifying was run for the day. As everybody did run a qualifyer, the result attained in the qualifyer will be the result given for a final placing as well, thus the event will count towards the championship.
So after one round of quallies, the positions were as follows.

Although we didn't get a full days racing in, it was a great turnout and alot of fun.
A big thank you to Thinus for putting together our new deluxe sugar machine, I'm sure no other can compare.
Please note the final points update will not be published until after our prizegiving, we still want to keep an element of surprise for the winners.
The track is currently in the process of being resurfaced, it should be finished by Tuesday. Please note that the lock has been changed on the gate while this is happenning, as it is a no go area till next weekend.
We will still have our prizegiving and double enduro as planned if all goes well and the weather plays along. So prep those cars for Sunday, as it's going to be an awesome day of fun. We will also be lighting a fire for a bring and braai, we will organise with Oom Danie to have the pub open for some refreshments. So bring along your tjops or a worsie and a blaar slaai, and don't forget the tongs. If the weather turns ugly we will still have the prizegiving and braai across the road at the diaz club, this time the weather won't get the better of us.
We will start the day as per normal, entries close at 11am sharp, drivers briefing at 11:30, first enduro will kick off at 12pm.
There will be two class specs for the enduro.
1. Brushed Class
Any chassis
Any tyres
Any brushed motor
Any nimh batteries x 3 sets
Any body
Only one car per team of 3
Only one radio per team of 3
Compulsory 2 pit stop battery change per team
2. Brushless Class
Any chassis
Any tyres
Any brushless motor
Any lipo pack x 3 sets
Any body
Only one car per team of 3
Only one radio per team of 3
Compulsory 2 pit stop battery change per team
Bring along your dorifto machines as well to play around with, I'm sure we can convince fusion to put up a layout for the guys to have some fun on. Hint Hint Fusion
Cheers and see you Sunday.

thanks Sam, in the lipo class, it doesnt have to be brushless. a Lot of people don't have and would want to compete there.
Thanks for posting the results once again.

Re: DRCCC Race Report - Race Day 11 Season 1 - Final Points Event
Sorry bud, I understood you when you announced it that it would be brushless & lipo in one class and brushed & nimh in another. But it's cool, we'll call it Nimh class and Lipo class. Just had a brain fart!! What if someone has a brushless system but not Lipo's like me for instance? Can't they run it in the nimh class, as the main factor here is the battery spec and not the motor? Something to think about if we're trying to be fair to all!
So here's the "official" class specs for the enduro, ignore my previous posts' specs.
1. Nimh Class
Any chassis
Any tyres
Any brushed motor
Any nimh batteries x 3 sets
Any body
Only one car per team of 3
Only one radio per team of 3
Compulsory 2 pit stop battery change per team
2. Lipo Class
Any chassis
Any tyres
Any brushless/brushed motor
Any lipo pack x 3 sets
Any body
Only one car per team of 3
Only one radio per team of 3
Compulsory 2 pit stop battery change per team
The entry fee for each class will be R30.00 per car, max 10 cars per class. If we land up with more entries we might have to make a 3rd enduro to accomodate. This will be decided on the day with all concerned.
